Hi again, Mashers! Jason the Web Guy here.

This is just a reminder of our meeting this Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 7PM. We'll meet up ath the Adventures shop in the back.

In recognition of the day where we're all Irish, St. Patrick's Day, we're covering a few different styles of beer. We'll cover Irish Reds and Stouts - two traditional Irish favorites!

No, we will not be covering "green beer". I don't think that's a BJCP reognized style.

I will be the one covering the style guidelines and discussing with you what to expect when you drink some of these fine beers.

At Adventure in Homebrew.

Style: Irish beers - reds and stouts, mainly. Green beer will not be covered!

Sorry for the confusion... it is tonight, Tuesday, Jan 13th.

Happy New Year, Mashers!

As a reminder, the next meeting will be Tuesday, January 15th at 7PM. The style is will be porters of all types - bring 'em if you got 'em!

I'd also like to get both a meeting and beer schedule hammered out so I can get all of that posted for the year. This will avoid confusion and scheduling issues, obviously.

Other than that, I'm sure Jason Smith has some news and info he'd like to share.

Mashers, as a reminder/follow-up to the email last week, the Upper Mississippi Mash-Out beer competition is here!

Entries can be submitted starting today until Jaunary 10th, 2009.

You can enter online via the above web site. Bottles need to be to the entry before January 12th, 2009. Online entries can be made until midnight, Janurary 10th, 2009.

All, sorry for the late notice, but I've been down-for-the-count sick for a few days. Below is a message from Rex to Jason Smith pertaining to the cider competition happening this weekend. There are two emails in here, so please read through all of the information if you're interested in going or judging.

Sorry for the late reminder, folks. We'll be meeting at the mothership (the brew shop) at 7PM tomorrow night.

Bring your barley wine to share! That'll be the style we'll be discussing. If you don't have a barley wine on hand, feel free to bring any other samples you want to share.
